A pedestrian was crossing the street and was struck by a sedan
Osceola County, FL. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Wednesday night in Osceola County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8:16 p.m. on U.S. 192 near Druid Way.
A pedestrian was crossing the street and was struck by a sedan. Debris from the collision struck the front of an unmarked Osceola County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle that was traveling behind the sedan.
The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 42-year-old St. Cloud man driving the sedan and the 36-year-old Kissimmee woman driving the sheriff’s office vehicle were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
