Two people from the passenger vehicle were transported to an area hospital for treatment

Iroquois County, IL. – Two people were hospitalized after being injured in a collision involving a semi-truck on Saturday morning in Iroquois County.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident happened on US-45/52 northbound just north of County Road E 2700N at around 10:26 a.m.
A passenger vehicle and a truck-tractor semi-trailer were involved in the accident. The impact of the collision caused the passenger vehicle to roll over and come to a stop on its side.
Two people from the passenger vehicle were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
