Vance Peterson had to be extricated before being airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood

Kane County, IL. – Two men were killed in a multi-vehicle collision that left two other people seriously injured on Sunday night near Eglin.
According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happed around 9:45 p.m. at Plank and Switzer roads.
18-year-old Vance Peterson was driving a Ford F150 pickup truck westbound on Plank Road when he drifted into the eastbound lane and collided with an oncoming GMC Sierra pickup truck pulling a trailer holding a skid steer loader.
The Ford pickup truck then collided with a Dodge Ram, causing it to catch on fire.
Peterson had to be extricated before being airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
31-year-old Erick Garcia-Porcayo and 25-year-old Rosalio Porcayo-Porcayowere, who were passengers in the GMC, were killed in the accident.
The driver of the truck, 22-year-old Yahir Porcayo-Porcayo, was flown by helicopter to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, 30-year-old Baldemar Rodriguez-Lopez, was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
