A Chevrolet Equinox reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a northbound Hyundai Tucson

Hillsborough, FL. – A woman died in a traffic collision that happened at an intersection in Hillsborough County on Friday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Manatee Creek Boulevard and US-41.
A Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 78-year-old Defiance, Ohio man, reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a northbound Hyundai Tucson, driven by a 25-year-old Ruskin woman.
An 81-year-old Defiance, Ohio, woman, who was a passenger in the Equinox, was transported to the hospital, where she later died.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
