Las Vegas, NV – A scooter rider was hit and critically injured by a vehicle in Las Vegas on Friday afternoon, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
The accident took place just after 3 p.m. on West Hacienda Avenue, west of South Decatur Boulevard.
According to the report, a scooter rider was crossing Decatur Boulevard outside of the crosswalk when they were hit by a 2023 Tesla Model 3 traveling west on Hacienda Avenue.
The victim was ejected from the scooter and suffered major injuries.
The victim was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Tesla stayed at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
