Franklin County, FL. – A woman was injured in a collision involving a dump truck on Wednesday morning in Franklin County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Coastal Highway.
The 52-year-old Quincy woman was driving a fully loaded dump truck traveling westbound on Coastal Highway when she crashed into an empty dump truck driven by a 61-year-old man from Crawfordville.
The empty dump truck was turning from the westbound lane of US-98 into the parking lot of Carrabelle Beach when the crash happened.
The impact of the collision caused the loaded truck to overturn onto the driver’s side.
The Quincy woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
