Pasco County, FL. – A Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy was injured in a Tuesday evening car accident at an intersection in Pasco County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Collier Parkway and SR-54.
The deputy was driving a marked Chevy Tahoe northbound on Collier Parkway when he collided with a Lexus sedan traveling westbound on SR-54.
The impact of the collision caused the patrol car to overturn and slide into the southbound lanes of Collier Parkway where it was hit by a Chevy pickup truck.
The deputy and the driver of the Lexus sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The 37-year-old man driving the pickup truck was injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
