Reno, NV – One person was killed in a car collision in Reno on Tuesday, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened on Mt. Rose Highway near Wedge Parkway at about 6:15 a.m.
A driver heading westbound on the highway swerved into the oncoming lane and collided with an eastbound vehicle.
The westbound driver was killed in the accident.
A section of the highway was shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
