Pine Hills, FL – A woman from Orlando was killed in a car accident in Pine Hills on Monday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at about 11:21 p.m. on February 17, on Hiawassee Road near Nestor Street.
According to the report, a 54-year-old Orlando woman was driving a 2022 Toyota RAV-4 southbound on Hiawassee Road when she tried to make a left turn onto Nestor Street and collided with an oncoming 2024 Buick Enclave.
The impact sent the Buick off the roadway and it slammed into a tree.
The driver of the Buick, a 50-year-old woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota and a passenger in the Buick, a 54-year-old Orlando woman, were both rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision.
