The pedestrian was airlifted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries
Hendry County, FL. – A 61-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital after he was hit by a vehicle on Monday evening in Hendry County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:18 p.m. on State Road 80 west of Grandma’s Boulevard.
The Alva man exited a Ram pickup truck that had pulled into the inside shoulder and was hit by a Toyota traveling westbound.
The pedestrian was airlifted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
The Toyota driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
