Deputy Injured in Daytona Beach Crash on International Speedway Boulevard

The driver of the vehicle that struck the deputy’s motorcycle was issued a “failure to yield” citation

Daytona Beach, FL. – A Volusia County deputy was injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday in Daytona Beach.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on International Speedway Boulevard near the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard.

The deputy was traveling eastbound on his agency-issued motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle that was making a U-turn.

The deputy was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the deputy’s motorcycle was issued a “failure to yield” citation.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
