The officer was pinned in the car and had to be extricated by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue before he was transported to hospital
Miami-Dade, FL. – A Miami-Dade Schools Police officer was injured in a collision on Friday evening in Southwest Miami-Dade.
According to the police, the accident happened around 4:10 p.m. at the intersection of Miller Drive and Southwest 147th Avenue.
The officer was in an unmarked sedan that collided with a black pickup truck.
The officer was pinned in the car and had to be extricated by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue before he was transported to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital as a trauma alert.
The pickup truck driver was treated at the scene and released.
