Peoria Police Department said a silver Ford Focus, operated by Marjorie Kussrow, was traveling west on Cactus Road when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto the southbound lanes of 87th Avenue and collided with a 2013 GMC Sierra.
Peoria, AZ – The two elderly people who were killed in a Wednesday morning crash near 87th Avenue in Peoria have been identified by the police as 86-year-old Marjorie Kussrow and 90-year-old Dale Kussrow, both from Peoria.
Peoria Police Department said a silver Ford Focus, operated by Marjorie, was traveling west on Cactus Road when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto the southbound lanes of 87th Avenue and collided with a 2013 GMC Sierra.
Marjorie suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital where she died. Marjorie’s husband, identified as Dale, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the GMC Sierra was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
Investigators believed that speed and impairment were factors in the accident.
The deadly crash remains under investigation
