White Springs man killed in motorcycle accident at Northwest Lake Jeffery and Nash Road in Lake City
Columbia County, FL. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a pickup truck on Wednesday morning in Lake City.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest Lake Jeffery and Nash Road.
A pickup truck traveling north on Lake Jeffery Road was attempting to make a left turn onto Nash Road when it struck a motorcycle traveling south on Lake Jeffery Road.
The motorcyclist, a 48-year-old White Springs man, was killed in the accident.
The truck driver, a 65-year-old man from Ft. Meade, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
