Carson City man killed in Galena Creek Bridge car crash in Washoe County

Washoe County, NV. – 38-year-old Eric Burns of Carson City has been identified as the man who died in a car crash last week Friday on the Galena Creek Bridge.
According to the Nevada State Police, the accident happened around 8 a.m. on the 580 Freeway on the Galena Creek Bridge.
Burns was driving a 2017 Subaru WRX northbound on I-580 when he crashed into a Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District fire engine parked at the scene of an earlier crash.
Burns was killed in the accident,
There were no injuries to firefighters or other personnel at the scene.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
