Citrus County, FL. – A woman was seriously injured after being struck by a car while standing in the center median after a crash in Citrus County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Lecanto Highway.
A Dodge Ram truck was traveling north when it drifted into the southbound lanes and hit an oncoming Hyundai Sonata.
The driver of the Dodge Ram got out of her truck and was standing in the center median when she was hit by a Nissan Versa that attempted to go around the crash site.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The driver of the Hyundai was also taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
