Sumter County, FL. – A 62-year-old man died after being struck by two vehicles on Sunday morning in Sumter County.
According to the police, the accident happened around 5:50 a.m. on CR-475, north of CR-466.
The Ocala man was walking along the shoulder of the roadway attempted to cross CR-475 and was hit by a pickup truck.
The pedestrian was subsequently struck by an Acura sedan.
The man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
