Maricopa, AZ – Six people were injured, two critically, following a four-car pileup on State Route 238 in Maricopa on Saturday afternoon, according to the Maricopa Police Department.
The collision happened at about 4:39 p.m. on State Route 238 at White Road.
According to the police, two vehicles collided head-on, and subsequently, two additional cars were hit.
Police said six people were injured in the collision. Four patients, with varying levels of injuries, but non-life-threatening, were transported to the hospital via ambulance.
Two patients had life-threatening injuries and were flown by helicopter to Valley hospitals.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Unit (PCSO VCU) is investigating the incident.
