Miami-Dade, FL – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision in Southwest Miami-Dade Tuesday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision happened at about 9:30 p.m. on February 4 in the westbound lanes of Bird Road near Southwest 88th Court.
FHP said a black Ford Expedition and a red Toyota Corolla were involved in the crash.
According to FHP, the Corolla was heading eastbound on Bird Road when the driver tried to turn left onto Southwest 88th Court and drove directly into the path of the Ford.
The two vehicles collided killing two people. The two victims, whose names have not been released, were pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of the collision, Bird Road was temporarily shut down as crews and investigators worked at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
