Pasco County, FL. – A 13-year-old girl was injured after being struck by a car after getting off a school bus on Wednesday afternoon near Hudson in Pasco County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, the accident happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Kodiak Avenue and East Road.
A school bus was offloading students at the intersection with its lights activated.
A school girl was reportedly crossing the street when she was hit by a southbound car driven by a 59-year-old Port Richey man.
The Hudson girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
