SCOTTSDALE, AZ (December 16, 2020)– Lerner and Rowe Gives Back excitedly announces that with the assistance of community partners and individual supporters, the Arizona 501(c)(3) non-profit raised $461,334.89 from their 7th Annual Golf Charity Classic that was held on Friday, December 4 at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club. 100% of the proceeds will be given back to support local charities throughout Arizona.
Over the past seven years, the foundation has steadily increased their monetary goal to be given back to charitable organizations that assist the needy and disenfranchised members of Arizona communities. In 2016, the Lerner and Rowe Gives Back Charity Golf Classic raised just over $200K. 2017 saw over $250K raised. In 2018, the non-profit raised over $285K. And $420K was brought in from the 2019 Charity Golf Classic.
Lerner and Rowe Gives Back founder Kevin Rowe shared the following words of gratitude: “We are extremely grateful to all of our 2020 sponsors, community partners, the golf course staff, event vendors, dedicated team members, and volunteers for sticking it out with us after our annual Charity Golf Classic had to be rescheduled earlier this year because of coronavirus closures. It just goes to show that even when the odds seem stacked against you, it’s still possible to reach further and do more when you join resources for a common goal. Our team couldn’t be more thrilled to surpass the original goal for 2020 by raising over $461K in charitable donations—despite the many logistical challenges and public health restrictions throughout the year.
