Pedestrian Critically Hurt in Hit-and-Run Accident on Nellis Boulevard in Las Vegas

Police said a woman suffered life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a hit and run accident Sunday night near South Nellis Boulevard and East Twain Avenue in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, NV.- A pedestrian was critically injured following a hit and run accident Sunday night in Las Vegas.

The accident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on August 23 near the intersection of South Nellis Boulevard and East Twain Avenue.

Authorities said the woman was crossing Nellis Boulevard in or near a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a southbound sedan.

The driver continued from the scene following the collision without stopping.

Emergency crews responded to the area and provided medical assistance to the injured pedestrian.

The woman suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to Sunrise Hospital for treatment.

Police described the suspect vehicle as a gray sedan with damage to its front portion and windshield.

The driver remained at large following the accident.

Authorities continue working to identify the driver and locate the vehicle involved in the collision.

The hit and run accident remains under investigation.
