The accident occurred around 11 a.m. on August 20 near SE Dixie Highway and SE Cross Rip Street.
Authorities said an SUV and a Brightline train collided in the area.
The SUV sustained heavy front end damage as a result of the collision.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured motorist near the damaged SUV.
The motorist suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
