Authorities said a woman was injured following a hit and run accident Wednesday evening at Troy Road and Franklin Avenue in Edwardsville.
Edwardsville, IL.- A woman was injured following a hit and run accident Wednesday evening in Edwardsville, according to city officials.
The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on August 19 at the intersection of Troy Road and Franklin Avenue.
Authorities said the woman was a passenger in a green SUV when another vehicle struck the SUV from behind.
The driver of the other vehicle left the scene following the rear end collision.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured woman.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Authorities have not released additional information regarding the woman’s condition or identity.
