Police said several people were injured following a police pursuit that ended in an accident early Thursday morning in Chicago’s Morgan Park neighborhood.
Chicago, IL.- Several people were injured following a multi vehicle accident early Thursday morning in Chicago.
The accident occurred around 2:38 a.m. on July 23 in the 2100 block of West 115th Street.
Police said the pursuit began on Interstate 65 in northwest Indiana after Lake County deputies attempted to stop a stolen black SUV.
Investigators said the driver continued into Chicago before striking a parked sedan, sending the vehicle onto the lawn of a nearby home.
The SUV overturned, scattering debris across the roadway.
Authorities said a man, a woman, and two children, ages 3 months and 4 years, were inside the SUV and sustained injuries.
The extent of their injuries has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
