Authorities said three people were injured after a Jeep Grand Cherokee left the roadway and entered a ditch Friday on SR 97A near Chelan.
Chelan, WA.- Three people were injured following a single vehicle accident Friday on SR 97A near Chelan.
The accident occurred on August 21 near milepost 236, approximately one mile north of Chelan.
Authorities said a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on SR 97A when it left the roadway and entered a ditch.
The Jeep came to rest partially blocking the southbound lane following the accident.
Three people were inside the vehicle, including a 17 year old driver, a 17 year old passenger, and a 19 year old passenger.
Authorities said all three occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
The driver and both passengers suffered injuries and were transported to Chelan Hospital for treatment.
Additional information regarding the severity of their injuries has not been released.
The Jeep was later recovered from the scene by Big Valley Towing.
Authorities continue investigating what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. Potential charges are also under review.
The accident remains under investigation.
