Troopers said a 21-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach man was heading in the wrong direction on the road when it drove into the path of a 73-year-old man. The 21-year-old man’s car crashed into the front left of the elderly man’s car. The two cars rotated and went separate following the collision.

Jacksonville, FL. – Two people were killed after a wrong-way collision on Thursday night in Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on May 28 on J. Turner Butler Boulevard near Marsh Landing Boulevard.
Troopers said a 21-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach man was heading in the wrong direction on the road when it drove into the path of a 73-year-old man. The 21-year-old man’s car crashed into the front left of the elderly man’s car. The two cars rotated and went separate following the collision.
The 73-year-old man of Ponte Vedra and one of his passengers, a 67-year-old woman, were killed in the crash.
Another passenger, a 38-year-old woman, sustained severe injuries due to the crash.
The 21-year-old man sustained severe injuries after the accident.
No other details regarding this crash were released.
