Lerner & Rowe Gives Back Presents $2500 to Children First Academy

Attorney Kevin Rowe, founder of the nonprofit organization Lerner and Rowe Gives Back presented a $2500 sponsorship check on September 17, 2012, to the Children First Academy in support of Back-to-School Tools, an annual community school supply drive.

This is the third year that Lerner and Rowe has joined efforts with Mix 96.9 and the Academy. This event assists underprivileged children and at risk youth raise school supplies and also, essential daily living items, such as:

  • Clothes,
  • Food
  • And supplies for the nursing office.

Children First Academy strives to serve the whole child by fostering strength, providing hope and facilitating self-determination. Their academy has approximately 300 students, grades K-8, attending school on their grounds. Children First Academy works to provide a stable environment where each student may also receive daily care and attention that so many homeless and low socioeconomic children lack.
