Phoenix, AZ (June 11, 2018)- A suspected drunk driver killed a 911 operator in a car crash over the weekend. Cathy Coppes, 58, was riding her motorcycle Sunday. She was travelling on the US 89, roughly 20 miles north of Flagstaff. Allegedly, a vehicle crossed the center lane, striking Cathy Coppes head-on.
According to the Chandler Police Department, Coppes was killed on impact. No suspect information has been released. Cathy Coppes had served with the Chandler Police Department since 2002.

The crash remains under investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
