Hollywood, FL.- One person was killed following a multi vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Interstate 95 in Hollywood, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on August 26 in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Pembroke Road.
Troopers said the collision involved a box truck and two passenger vehicles.
According to preliminary information, the box truck was traveling south on Interstate 95 when it struck a passenger vehicle.
The impact caused the passenger vehicle to collide with another car traveling on the interstate.
One of the drivers suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead following the collision.
Emergency crews responded to the scene while troopers investigated the accident and worked to clear the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
The crash caused significant traffic delays on southbound Interstate 95 near Pembroke Road.
Authorities have not released the identity of the driver who was killed or additional information about injuries to the other people involved.
