Police said three people were hospitalized following a two vehicle accident Monday morning near 19th Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix.
Phoenix, AZ.- Three people were injured following a two vehicle accident Monday morning in Phoenix.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. on August 24 near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found two men trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
Firefighters worked to extricate both men from the vehicle.
The two men suffered life threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
A woman who was driving the other vehicle involved in the collision was also injured.
The woman was transported to a hospital with injuries described as non life threatening.
Authorities have not released the identities of the three people who were hospitalized or additional information regarding their conditions.
The intersection of 19th Avenue and Thomas Road was closed following the accident and was expected to remain shut down while investigators examined the scene.
