Kokomo, IN.- An elderly woman was seriously injured following a pedestrian accident Thursday morning outside a TJ Maxx in Kokomo.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:12 a.m. on August 20.
Emergency crews responded to the scene after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
According to dispatch information, first responders arrived and found the woman unconscious following the collision.
Medical personnel evaluated the injured pedestrian at the scene.
Due to the severity of the woman’s injuries, emergency crews also checked the availability of a medical helicopter for possible transport.
Authorities have not released additional information regarding the woman’s condition or whether she was ultimately transported by medical helicopter.
