Troopers said a fatal accident was reported Monday afternoon on Interstate 95 near Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton.
Boca Raton, FL.- At least one person was killed following an accident Monday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Boca Raton, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. on August 17 on northbound Interstate 95 near mile marker 44, south of Palmetto Park Road.
Troopers responded to the scene and classified the collision as a fatal accident.
The northbound roadway was blocked while emergency crews responded to the accident and investigators examined the scene.
Authorities warned motorists to expect traffic delays in the area while the roadway remained blocked.
Information regarding the number or types of vehicles involved in the collision has not been released.
Authorities have also not released the identity of the person who was killed or additional information about the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The accident remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
