Authorities said a man suffered life threatening injuries following a multi vehicle accident early Friday morning near 43rd Avenue and Claremont Street in west Phoenix.
Phoenix, AZ.- One person was critically injured following a multi vehicle accident in west Phoenix.
The accident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on July 24 near 43rd Avenue and Claremont Street, just north of Bethany Home Road.
Emergency crews arrived to find a man who had been ejected from one of the vehicles. He was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Investigators said several vehicles were involved in the collision, although the total number has not been confirmed.
Authorities said a woman was seen in handcuffs at the scene, but no charges had been announced at the time of the initial report.
One home’s front yard fence was damaged, and debris, including broken glass and vehicle parts, was scattered across the roadway.
Investigators said one vehicle sustained severe damage to the driver’s side, while another came to rest in front of a nearby home.
43rd Avenue was closed in both directions between Bethany Home Road and Maryland Avenue while emergency crews responded to the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
