Wells, NV.- Four people were killed and four others were injured following a head on accident Monday morning near Wells.
The accident occurred around 11:39 a.m. on July 20 on U.S. 93 near mile marker 79, approximately five miles north of Wells.
Authorities said two passenger vehicles collided head on, blocking both lanes of the highway.
Eight people were involved in the collision. Four people were pronounced dead, while four others were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Multiple emergency agencies responded to the scene, including aviation units that assisted with the response.
U.S. 93 remained closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene and crews cleared the roadway.
The accident remains under investigation.
