The driver of the Honda Civic was transported to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital
McHenry, IL. – Jeffrey Westphal, 27, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a collision last week Sunday in Spring Grove.
According to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 3:03 p.m. at the intersection of Johnsburg and Miller Roads.
The man was riding a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Johnsburg Road when he collided with a 2021 Honda Civic, which was turning north onto Johnsburg Road from Miller Road.
Westphal was wearing a helmet and was taken to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital where he later died.
The 17-year-old driver of the Honda Civic was transported to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
