Thorntown, IN. – A woman and three children were injured in a collision on Monday afternoon in Thorntown on Monday afternoon.

According to the police, the accident happened around 3 p.m. on U.S. 52 near CR 650 North.

A car was traveling southbound when it rear-ended a trash truck that had pulled off to the side of the road.

The woman who was driving the car was unresponsive inside her car and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Three children in the car were rescued and were transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
