Phoenix, AZ – The Phoenix Police Department has identified a sewer worker who died in a rear-end crash on Grand Avenue in Phoenix Tuesday night as Yusuf Munir.
The Phoenix Police Department said the collision occurred at around 11 p.m. on March 4 on Grand Avenue near 33rd Avenue.
PDP said Munir was at the back of a box truck when, for unknown reasons, a pick-up truck struck the rear of the box truck.
Munir suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital where he later died.
The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized serious with but non-life-threatening injuries, police said, adding that the driver showed signs of intoxication and was processed for DUI.
The deadly crash] remains under investigation.
