Jacksonville, FL – One person was killed in a big rig collision in Jacksonville on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal rear-end crash happened on the I-295 southbound off-ramp to 103rd Street on Tuesday, February 18.
According to FHP, a 24-year-old Jacksonville man was driving a sedan westbound on I-295 when he failed to slow down and slammed into the rear of a stopped truck pulling a trailer.
The driver of the sedan died in the accident.
Other parties involved in the collision, including a 1-year-old Jacksonville child in the sedan, were not injured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
