Yuma, AZ – Two drivers were injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Yuma on Sunday evening, according to Yuma Police Department.
The injury collision happened at about 5:22 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Avenue 3 E and 88th Street (County 18th Street).
Yuma police said a 2018 Dodge Durango, driven by a 33-year-old man, was heading southbound on Avenue 3E, and was attempting to turn left onto 88th Street when it was struck by a 2012 Dodge Ram Truck, operated by a 44-year-old man, also traveling south. Police said the truck driver was trying to pass on the left leading to the collision.
The impact of the crash sent the truck off the roadway, where it knocked down a power pole, and then rolled.
Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to Onvida Health.
According to Yuma PD, power was significantly disrupted in the area and Avenue 3E was closed all night while the power pole was being replaced.
The crash remains under investigation.
