Las Vegas, NV – A man who was killed after colliding with a stolen private bus on a Las Vegas freeway on Sunday has been identified as 48-year-old Edy Octavio Hernandez-Roldan.
The deadly collision occurred at about 1:37 a.m. on January 19 on Interstate 11 northbound ramp connecting to the westbound 215 Beltway.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a white 2008 Gillig Transit passenger bus was parked on the flyover ramp in the left lane when it was hit from behind by a gray 2008 Honda operated by Edy Hernandez-Roldan.
The impact caused the Honda to spin and hit the concrete barrier wall while the bus, believed to have been stolen, was pushed forward.
Hernandez-Roldan was declared dead at the scene.
The bus driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

Centennial Hills, NV – One person is dead following a fatal collision involving an SUV and a private bus early Sunday morning in the Centennial Spaghetti Bowl early Sunday morning, according to Nevada Highway Patro.
The deadly crash happened at about 1:37 a.m. Interstate 11 northbound ramp connecting to westbound 215 Beltway.
According to NHP, the SUV struck the small private passenger bus from behind.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision. The name of the adult male victim has not been released.
Reportedly, the ramp was shut down for several hours as the Nevada Highway Patrol investigated the incident.
The highway patrol encouraged motorists to use alternative routes.
