Pedestrian Killed in Phoenix Crash

Phoenix, AZ (May 13, 2018) – A pedestrian died in a Phoenix crash on May 12, 2018. Martin Jones, 52, crossed the street mid-block. An SUV struck him at approximately 10pm. According to Sgt. Vince Lewis, a police spokesperson, Jones did not use a crosswalk.

Paramedics pronounced Jones dead at the scene. The driver remained on site.

The driver may have been impaired. The investigation is ongoing.

The crash occurred near 43rd and Missouri avenues.
