The St. Charles police and fire officials responded to the scene where they found a neighbor performing life-saving measures in the boy.
St. Charles, IL. – A child was killed after being hit by a car in his home driveway of his west suburban home in St. Charles on Tuesday evening.
The accident happened at around 5:10 p.m. on May 27, in the 4000 block of Royal Fox Drive.
The St. Charles police and fire officials responded to the scene where they found a neighbor performing life-saving measures to the boy.
Medical personnel continued with life-saving measures and the boy was then transported to Delnor Hospital in St. Charles where he was declared dead.
Authorities identified the involved driver as an immediate family member of the boy.
An investigation by the St. Charles Police Department and the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team is ongoing.
