After a bike accident in Phoenix, an 11-year-old was airlifted to a local hospital.

An 11-year old girl was airlifted to Phoenix Childeren’s Hospital on Tuesday morning after hit by a vehicle while riding her bike. The bike accident in Phoenix caused near Monroe Street and also closed 87th Avenue for several hours.

Police believe that the girl was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the car stayed on the scene.

The cause of the bike accident is still being investigated.
