
Prineville, OR – The Oregon State Police is investigating an incident in which a vehicle crashed into a Prineville building killing a passenger on Sunday, according to a police report.
Authorities said Ladonna Erickson, 41 of Redmond, drove a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer into the side of the Fontana Wood Products Building along NW Lamonta Road in Prineville, ejecting her passenger, identified as Rodney Stevens of Prineville.
Stephens was pronounced dead at the scene.
First responders transported Erickson to St. Charles Prineville with minor injuries.
Northwest Lamonta Road was shut down between Gumpert Road and Sunset Lane for several hours as crews worked at the scene.
Authorities said Erickson was arrested and has been charged with manslaughter, reckless endangering, reckless driving, and driving under the influence of intoxicants.
The incident remains under investigation.
