Irene Conger killed in two-car crash in Phoenix

(July 8, 2018) According to Phoenix authorities, a woman died following a two-car crash, affecting light-rail service early Sunday morning.

The Phoenix police stated that as 42-year-old Irene Conger traveled down 19th Avenue on Sunday, she collided with a 61-year-old man who was heading east, after failing to come to a stop near Bethany Home Road.  Emergency service took the man to the hospital where he was pronounced to be in stable condition. There were no reported major injuries from the other vehicle.

After the collision, Irene Conger’s vehicle rolled, and hit a pole, stopping light rail service in the area. The police said that bus service was called to transport passengers past the crash site.
