Phoenix, Arizona (April 3, 2018) – Two people needed medical care following a crash at 12th Street involving a Phoenix city bus Saturday morning, authorities said. The incident took place at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, near 12th Street and Campbell Avenue.
According to authorities, a 26-year-old man driving a car southbound on 12th Street for unknown reasons drove across the center line and collided with the bus.
As a result, the man ended up extracted from his vehicle. Due to the serious injuries suffered in the accident, emergency crews then transported him to a local hospital for treatment. Police said that one passenger on the bus was also transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure.
The car had a solo occupant, according to authorities. The cause of the incident remained unclear.
