Scottsdale, AZ – A man was seriously injured early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run accident in downtown Scottsdale, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.
The accident happened around 2:20 a.m., May 25, at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Third Avenue.
Police said the man was crossing westbound at the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The accident closed the roadway from 2:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.
The police are investigating the accident.
