November 15, 2018- A rollover crash turned deadly a few weeks ago on Nevada roads. The only car involved was a Ford Mustang.
Nevada Highway Patrol first heard of a single-vehicle crash around 10:40 pm. The accident occurred on the I-15 in Overton, near mile marker 89.
The crash involved one red Ford Mustang. Investigators believe that the car drifted somehow on the road. This possibly caused the driver to overcorrect, leading to the deadly rollover crash. At the scene, troopers found the car on its side. It was not clear if there was a distraction or if impairment was a factor.
There were two people inside the car at the time of the deadly rollover crash. One person, the driver, was airlifted to University Medical Center with serious injuries. The other, the passenger, ejected from the vehicle. We do not know currently if seat belts were a factor. She died at the scene.
Unfortunately, this marked the 71st fatality in 2018 investigated by Nevada Highway Patrol.
Lerner and Rowe sends their sympathies and thoughts to the families involved.
