Phoenix, AZ (July 13th, 2018)- Following a 5-car crash, one person died Friday evening, said the Phoenix police. The 5-car crash happened at 24th Street and Southern Avenue at around 5 in the evening, according to authorities.
The police confirmed that one adult was killed, and two other people received injuries from this accident.
According to Sgt. Armando Carbajal, spokesman for the Phoenix Police Department, the adult was pronounced dead by medical professionals at the hospital. The other two victims were transported to the hospital with minor injuries; one of the victims was a child, said Carbajal.
Officials confirmed that three pickup trucks and two other vehicles were involved.
Police officers shut down the intersection into the evening while they investigated.
